Man last night this journal got blasted by spambots. 530 Spam comments total. I am proud to say that none of them got through. 12 got marked as actual possible comments, but were caught for moderation because I don’t let anyone post until I have approved on comment from their email address.

All the rest were caught and dumped into the Akismet spam queue and were dumped with a click. They might be hurting a little or something to just blast a site like that. I have never seen that amount of comment spam come in before.

UPDATE

Man still coming in fast. 38 more this morning. I wonder if this is some new blitz to market something or if they are attempting to tear something up, like the Akismet server or something.

Hey spambots, notice anything? After the 800 spam attempts none of them have made it through. None of them are going to unless you start using one of the approved email addresses for this site. Anyone have any information on what is going on here?

Man it seems like we are bleeding cash right now. I came home this last weekend after going to Indiana with Mom and the big screen tv had died. It was time for it to happen. The thing was like 20 years old and had been through three moves, but still it was unexpected. It wouldn’t be such big deal except for the car and all.
