New additions to the house

I have been snapping some pictures over the weekend and I thought I would show you a couple new additions to the . I first went around and snapped some newer pictures of the so that people that haven’t been here since we bought it can see what all we have done. You see those in the album located at:
http://www.brentnorris.net/gallery/house

You will probably see one of the new additions there. It is my train board that I built.

Train Board Raised up.
I built it Friday evening and I am hoping to cover it tonight after it cools down just a bit.

The second thing that we have added to the is something that bought on Saturday. It came from the same place as something else that we already had, though it doesn’t really match it all that much.

Its !!
Poco in Freda's bowl
You can see some more pictures of him in his album in the located at:
http://www.brentnorris.net/gallery/poco

His name is pronounced poke-o and ’s is pronounced like peek-o.

Doggy Dreams

Last night woke up screaming like someone had broken his leg. I picked him up and woke him up and settled him down, but it seemed so funny that I had to save my dog from having a doggy nightmare. :)

Then I realized that they are so much like kids it is scary. We spent a hour last night just playing and rough-housing ( style). When was here we talked about them and told stories about them for at least two hours.

It is just funny to me.

Little Dog goes to the vet

Original thread on my old forums

Tomorrow is going to the vet to get two of his baby teeth that have never fallen out removed. I am scared to death over it. They are going to have to give him some kinda of general to knock him out when they do it and I am soooo afraid that there is going to be some issue with it that I can hardly stand to even think about it.

I’ll post something tomorrow about how it goes.

B-Day

Original thread from my old forums

Well here soon (in like 3 hours) it will be my 24th . It is interesting to me that this was almost here and I didn’t even realize it. Thinking back to when I was a kid birthdays were something of a huge even it seemed. I was always lucky enough to have my in the middle of the summer so I had plenty of time to think about it. It seemed like I did too. At least a week before each was spent thinking about it and waiting for it.

Of course presents were a bigger deal then too.

Well I guess this year I did get a fairly big (pun intended) present in , but things just seem to be a little more subdued toward birthdays now. It isn’t really a bad thing, it isn’t really a good thing, just an interesting one.

Dog Sick…. but he is better now.

Original thread from my old forums

Well having successfully made it one week with the new puppy I thought I would be getting close to being in the clear. Wrong-o

I came home Wednesday to find walking out of the with what appeared to be a almost dead dog. would look up at you and open his eyes if you called his name, but that was about the most he could acomplish. It was pretty scary. Especially since the day before he had found a dead mouse that had been killed with mouse poison while we were over at the . So I was kinda worried that it might be because of that, but I thought it would have taken effect quicker than almost 24 hours later.

had gotten the number of a vet from a guy she works with whose Father-in-law was a vet. We promptly called that and talked to them about it. They thought it might be some ham that I had fed him or the mouse poison and that I should bring him in.

Once we got there the vet started checking him out and quickly decided that it wasn’t mouse poison. While he was checking on him passed what I can only describe as a close to foot long tape worm. It was unbelievable. The vet gave him some tapeworm medicine and decided to take him home with him since he seemed rather dehydrated and to make sure that he got some glucose into his bloodstream.

While he was at the vets had another bowel movement, which the vet described as “almost entirely tape worms”. According to her there was enough that she believed his intestinal tract was full of tapeworms. According to her the only way there could be that many is if he had somehow eaten a flea that had tapeworm eggs in it while nursing or something. That was something of a relief since it meant that I had not messed up. Especially since his records show that he had been “wormed” twice before I got him.

He spent the rest of the day recovering under the eye of the vet and I picked him up last night. The only bad part of the deal yesterday is that I was in a hurry to pick him up because they closed and I had to cut a conversation with off short. It sucks because he is off to Korea for about 3 weeks and I won’t be able to talk with him until he gets back. Sorry about that .

Well that isn’t entirely true. Their is one other bad thing. It cost $172 dollars. That kinda sucks, but at least the dog feels better now and has been checked out by a vet.

He is doing really well and was up playing and stuff last night. I think he is still a little sore from the various things that happened, but all in all I think he is feeling much better.

Nice Digs

Well I am up in Louisville for the weekend running a swim meet for Coach Powell. They put me up in the Drury Inn here. Pretty nice place. Especially since I am not paying for it. Didnt’ get the suite like Coach thought, but he such is life. Dog is doing pretty well with the whole trip… opps…. shhhh.. don’t tell anyone.

Free “High Speed Internet Access” though it doesn’t seem that high speed. My Movie downloads seem pretty slow. Must have a porn leecher checked in. :)

Snuck in inside a duffle bag. I think he slept through the whole thing. Following in Chichi’s footsteps it looks like. I need to go enter some events into the Timing console though, so better get off of here. Catch me on AIM if you need me.
