All I could hear at the end of this is “How many Communists do you know of in the government, Senator McCarthy?”

It is amazing how far we have come to be right back where we were.  Replace the word communist with terrorist and you now have McCarthyism again.

Yet another fully documented case of Sylvia Browne’s failure. As has been the case with all the previous ones, she did a reading on Montel that should thought could never be proven wrong, except it was… again.

Sylvia Browne’s screwup

Again, she failed to get anything right and again she causes terrible distress on her victim. This time though the poor woman goes to her death thinking that her daughter is a drugged stripper and wastes her life running around trying to find her. Of course the reality is that her daughter had been found and buried for years before Sylvia told her she was still alive. Sadly the body wasn’t identified until later after her mothers death.

And people say that listening to her is just harmless fun. It seems that yet again, she did more harm than providing any fun.

Caught again being a fraud. I really wonder if she thinks the Montel Show is a good thing after all these.

This time not only was she wrong about every aspect of the disappearance that she was talking about, she also failed to spot the killer in the very room with her.

Perhaps “Francine” her spirit guide didn’t undestand the question or something. Wouldn’t it be great if she had to go on the show and explain exactly how what she said could be interpreted when faced with reality.

Sylvia Browne is a fraud.

and so is every other psychic on the planet.

That right folks. Sylvia Browne should really stop going on the Montel Show. I am sure it is helping her book sales now, but it is going to kill her job eventually. They are just getting more and more misses on tape. This one she didn’t even get that the kid was dead right, let alone all the other crap that see missed.

The good news is that it at least made CNN this time. I wonder how many of the people that watch the Montel Show also watch CNN.

This might be one of the best things about YouTube. People can now catch these screw ups by people like Sylvia Browne and put them out there for everyone, with no denying that they said it.

Again Montel tries to help her out, and again she just keeps screwing up and tells the parents that they are wrong. She tells them, “I don’t care.” when they try to tell her about the medical evidence of their daughters death. I would again recommend that the parents slap her in the face. The one good thing is that it doesn’t look like the father believes in her at all. He is just along for the ride.

I have been concerned about the recent advertising on WBKO for Laser Solutions in Bowling Green. I understand that they are a customer of WBKO for commercial time, but I feel that WBKO as a responsibility to not promote poor services and products. Laser Solutions provides a poor service that is only out to take money away from your viewers in the Bowling Green area.

Laser Solutions promotes a service which uses Lasers to “stimulate” Acupuncture points on the body in an effort to help patients stop smoking. There are several problems with this. The first and most obvious problem is that Acupuncture has never been shown to help anyone with any problem, including stopping smoking. The American Medical Association has been quoted as saying the following about acupuncture and its ilk,

“There is little evidence to confirm the safety or efficacy of most alternative therapies. Much of the information currently known about these therapies makes it clear that many have not been shown to be efficacious. Well-designed, stringently controlled research should be done to evaluate the efficacy of alternative therapies.”

So even if it was just an Acupuncture it would still be of poor value to your viewers. To then add the use of Lasers to stimulate these points on the body is adding poor science fiction on to the top of poor medicine.

The web is full of information about this shoddy and incorrect service. A simple search for information on it reveals that the only people who are out promoting it are the people that are selling it. There is no scientific community that backs it and there is no evidence of its usefulness.

Please remove this scam from your advertising and from your news broadcasts, because there is nothing valid or news worthy about it. Your viewers in the Bowling Green area look to your station as a validation for things like this and I am sure that because of the segment on Midday Live today there will be several customers show up to Laser Solutions. It is unfortunate that when they leave Laser Solutions the only thing they will have gotten from them is a lighter wallet.

Sylvia Browne really screwed up on the coal mine thing a while ago. It was on a radio show. AFTER they came out early and said they were all alive, she said that she knew it all along. That she had seen them all being ok. When later they came out and said that all of them but one were dead, she changed her tune and said that she had seen them all along as not making it. As a matter of fact she actually said that she didn’t see any of them making it. So even when she had the information about how many they got out, she STILL got it wrong, because one of them did make it.

Now on the Montel Show (which is her own little talk show any more), she did this:

So Montel even tries to help her out, by reminding her that the guy died in the towers and there was no chance he drown. Then she tries to say that the guy drown in a puddle. I wish the lady in the audience had walked up there and slapped her in the face.

Ugh… I wrote this yesterday and I thought I was done with it, but I was looking at this video again and I just can’t believe this lady. Look at her. Look at her nails and her face and how she is just wallowing around like a whale. How can people adore this bloated slob?

and no this is not one bad person making a bad name for all the other good faith healers. This is what it is all about.

Also if you have the time you might want to help pray for lower gas prices. Too bad they drove 110 miles to perform the prayer. Wasting gas to waste time praying for lower gas prices. Wouldn’t this time be better used praying for people missing limbs and hoping god will restore them?

Comedy Central has a great set of shows on at 10:00 here. They lead off with the Daily Show, which tonight had a great segment from the Christian Right. They actual had a clip of some reverend praying for more open seats on the Supreme Court. Last time I checked positions on the Supreme Court were lifetime jobs… so by that logic… I am pretty sure he was praying for someone to die. The information that they had about the Supreme Court nominee was really good too.

They then follow that with “Too Late with Adam Carolla” where in the opening segment he talked about how absurd that it is that there are people bitching about the “Hot Coffee” mod for GTA, but aren’t bitching about the murdering of people in the same game. According to the straights:

Simulated Killing Cops and Hookers == OK;
Simulated Sex with Naked woman, wearing clothes == EVIL;

or

Watching Fear Factor with people eating worms and magots? OK
Simulated Sex with Virtual Naked Woman, wearing clothes? EVIL!!!!

Adam even mentions that he is an atheist, which I think is impressive since most people won’t say that out loud.

Two shows that might actually make people engage their brains. Of course the sheepites who need to watch something like this are the poeple that will condem them for “Speaking against GOD” or being “Un-American” or something and would never even come close to watching them.
