A couple of weeks ago and I headed down to for and ’s had ask me to be a so we got there for the rehersal and dinner afterwards.

It was great to be there and see people from that I hadn’t seen in a while.  It was also great to meet other people that were involved in and ’s life that I had never met before.  Everyone got along great and had a wonderful time at the dinner, and I think I can say that we even had a pretty good time at the rehersal too.

Rodney Carrington Night out

this past sat and I braved the extremely rainy weather to venture out to the large town known as to see a comedian by the name of Rodney Carrington. He is pretty popular, had his own tv show for a while. had purchased the tickets several months ago. We started out by having a nice dinner at Smokey Bones and then got on our way to . We used the GPS to find our way to TPAC (tennessee performing arts center). Sadly, the GPS program was alittle off so we subsequently got alittle lost in downtown on a rainy sat night in the middle of what turned out to be a baptist convention (the streets were teaming with people and traffic). After both of us vowed to never live in such a big city, we found a place to park and were subsequently guided to TPAC by a nice man. the show was good, our seats were not too bad, but I still think that I prefer zanies . it is easier to get to, a smaller building so basically all the seats are good and they provide dinner with the show (and its cheaper). Anyways, the act was pretty good. we got outta there at around 9:30 or so and home at around 11:00 I think.

Norristock Pre-Alpha Version .01

Original thread from my old forums

That is right it starts this year. Of course this is the very early stages so I need to keep the membership down.

I am going to post the list of people here, but those of you that aren’t on it, please don’t think that I don’t value you as a friend. I am just planning on starting small and working my way up as I learn what all there is going on and stuff.

The list of people:

Jim Lindzy - Confirmed
Lobo - Confirmed
Todd Schaefer - Negative
Jeremiah Byrd - Firm
Frank Miles - Firm
Zuhli - Confirmed

So that is the list I think. Zuhli is living in now, so I hope to be talking with him soon about it. I might even be seeing him and Frank this weekend so that will help in the planning. Everyone on this list is also going to be getting a mail with a URL to this thread. I need everyone (registered or not) to post what you think you are going to do and once you get the details ironed out post them as well.

Todd and should be the only people flying in so if you both decide to come in around the same time, please try to work it out so that it is close enough that I don’t have to drive to twice within like a day or something.

The only other thing I can think of that might be of importance to some of you is that Cumberland County is a dry county, so if you want any kinda beer or whatever then we need to get it while were are in Warren County. There has been mention of getting a couple kegs and just drinking off of them, instead of worrying about cans and stuff. If Jim brings his truck that might be alright, but we then need to decide on what to get. If you guys don’t want to do that let me know.

Plans are to go to the lake some, play some pool, Xbox, ping pong, maybe volleyball. Sit around a fire and just generally hang out. Plan accordingly. And with that I open this thread up for conversation and information.

…Had a Thanksgiving Dinner that couldn’t be beat…

Ok first thing first. Two cool points to anyone that comes up with the song that snippet is from.

Now on with the show….

Ahhh a four day weekend. Seems to be the first in a long time, and perhaps the most invigorating in a while as well. Wednesday night was dinner of Chicken and Rice with the (including ). One of my favorites only made better by the attendance of P. Thursday we awoke at 5 and began a trip to Indiana. Despite all the hoopla traffic was decent and I think I was a fairly nice ride. I got through some more of the Lord of the Rings (which I am re-reading, Damn Movies!!!) on the way there. We had Thanksgiving with Grandma, which was awesome. Turkey, ham, sweet potatoes, mashed potatoes, baked beans, turkey and noodles, salad, rasberry cobbler, stawberry shortcake, and pecan pie were all served there. Though I felt full several times it was all just to good to stop eating. We played some games of aggrevation and had a good time. The next morning we headed to Nana’s and spent some time with her. We then headed back and got home about 8:30 on Friday.

After some discussion with Lamar and it was decided that we would head to early on Saturday. It was mainly to go to a computer show that was going on there but P saw it as a chance to get to the mall in as well. We spent a fair amount of time at the computer show with Lamar and his friends looking at stuff. There was a lot of stuff there that would be cool to have, but the fact that I am somewhat without a project, coupled with having spent all my cash on brakes for my car, all I came home with was a microATX size case to build my Tivo box out of. We then headed over to Consumer Depot (the BigLots of computers) where they had a docking station for Gears that I promptly forgot to pickup.

Lamar headed back to BG and P and I headed to Rivergate Mall. We spent about an equal amount of time there and P got lots of chances to look at the stuff that she wanted. We came back to BG around 5 and headed to O’Charley’s where we were told that there was about a 25 minute wait. An hour and 20 minutes later, we got seated. P mentioned this to the waiter and the gave us free apetizers, dessert and our sweet tea, leaving us to only pay for the one entree, which we actually split. I left the waiter a fairly nice tip to thank him for working on getting all of that free.

Today was a day of rest that let me work on the beginning of learning how to make a Tivo box and just general testing of various junk. I feel rested and well, though as I write this I feel a mild headache working in the background that I am wondering about.
